FAQ
The term “Highlight Video” can vary widely between videographers. As it’s used on my website, it’s usually a 3-5 minute video showcasing the best moments from your wedding day. It usually includes some of the vows and/or letters to each other along with tons of footage from getting ready, ceremony, photos, cocktail hour, and the reception. Speeches are generally *not* included (See “Wedding Film”) unless there is a short fun moment during one of them. This video is best used on social media or to send to friends and family to recap the wedding. It’s also a great short reminder of your wedding day.
The term Wedding Film can vary widely between videographers, but as it’s used on my website, it’s usually a 7-10 minute video that includes footage from the entire day, including getting ready, photos, first look, ceremony, cocktail hour, speeches, and reception. This video encompasses the whole day and usually includes more ceremony footage than the highlight video as well as including speeches and/or interviews.
A documentary edit is what some videographers may refer to as “RAW Footage”. You probably don’t actually want all of the RAW footage from the day as it would be overwhelmingly large in file size as well as potentially even unplayable on any device you own. The documentary edit fixes this problem by allowing me to edit together all of the footage from the day, make it look nice with pretty colors, and cut out any shots of the floor or other footage that nobody wants to watch. Any and all usable footage gets edited together into a single, long video file that is easily watchable and included with your other standard deliverables.
Yes, however RAW footage can mean a wide variety of things to different people. Once you know exactly what you want, I’d be happy to discuss pricing and adding anything you need to your package.
Your turnaround time will vary slightly based on which package you choose, but in general it’s around 6-8 weeks. During busy season it may be slightly longer, but I will communicate any changes to the turnaround time PRIOR to your booking so that you can make your decision based on your needs!
Good news, unlike some other companies where you wont know your videographer until the day of, we prioritize making sure that you know and are comfortable with your videographer beforehand. That being said, outside of an emergency, I, Clarke, will be your wedding videographer on the day of as well as your point of contact during the booking process. I find this makes everything run smoother and everyone feel more comfortable.
